 | Abstract :
Homo sapiens U19-2 snoRNA. This H/ACA box RNA was cloned by Gu et al. (2005) from blood cells by an RT-PCR method that preferentially amplifies H/ACA box snoRNAs. Its expression was evidenced by Northern blot. As the closely related snoRNA U19, U19-2 is predicted to guide the pseudouridylation of 28S rRNA U3741 and U3743. The pseudouridylation of both bases has been evidenced by Ofengard and Bakin (1997). U19-2 is probably a primate-specific retroposon. |
