| Abstract :
Human mgh28S-2411 C/D box snoRNA. This snoRNA was cloned in the lab of Tamas Kiss (Toulouse) from an HeLa cell extract immunoprecipitated by an anti-fibrillarin antibody. It is the human orthologue of Z40 characterized in pig (AJ240060) and rat (AJ240059) by H. Zhou and L.H. Qu. It is predicted to guide the 2'O-ribose methylation of 28S rRNA G2411. mgh28S-2411 shares the same host gene with the H/ACA box snoRNAs ACA1, ACA8, ACA18, ACA25, ACA32 and the C/D box snoRNA mgh28S-2409. Although this snoRNA is named mgh28S-2412 in GenBank file AJ609489, it is named here mgh28S-2411 to conform with the numbering of the reference 28S rRNA sequence. |
