Abstract :
Homo sapiens ACA4 snoRNA
This H/ACA box RNA was cloned by Kiss et al. (2004) from a HeLa cell extract immunoprecipitated with an anti-GAR1 antibody. It is predicted to guide the pseudouridylation of residue U1347 of 18S rRNA. The pseudouridylation of this residue was experimentally confirmed by primer extension mapping (Kiss et al., 2004). The H/ACA box snoRNAs ACA4, HBI-61 and E3, and the C/D box snoRNA snR39B share the same host gene (EIF4A2).
