SCARNA21small Cajal body-specific RNA 21
snoid : SR0000231
Length : 138
Abstract : Homo sapiens ACA68 scaRNA. This H/ACA box RNA was characterized by bioinformatics, and its expression verified by Northern blot and primer extension in mouse (Schattner et al., 2006). It is predicted to guide the pseudouridylation of U12 snRNA U19. The pseudouridylation of this nucleotide was experimentally demonstrated by Massenet et al. (2002). As other modification guides of snRNAs transcribed by RNA polII, ACA68 is predicted to reside in Cajal bodies.
