Abstract : Homo sapiens C/D box snoRNA U42A. This snoRNA was cloned from HeLa cells by Kiss-Laszlo et al. (1996). U42A, its closely related copy U42B and mgh18S-121 share the same host gene (RPL23A). Both U42A and U42B are predicted to guide the 2'O-ribose methylation of 18S rRNA U116.
