Abstract : Homo sapiens C/D box snoRNA U44. This snoRNA was cloned from HeLa cells by Kiss-Laszlo et al. (1996) and is predicted to guide the 2'O-ribose methylation of 18S rRNA A166. U44 and the C/D box snoRNAs U47, U74, U75, U76, U77, U78, U79, U80 and U81 share the same host gene (protein non-coding).
