 | Abstract :
Homo sapiens HBII-95B snoRNA. This C/D box snoRNA was characterized by Yang et al. (2006) using the snoSeeker software. Its expression was not experimentally demonstrated. Both HBII-95 and HBII-95B reside in the same host gene, and are predicted to guide the 2’O-ribose methylation of 18S rRNA G509. They are highly conserved in vertebrates and probably result from an ancient intragenic duplication. In agreement, X. tropicalis and Zebrafish the two snoRNAs are nearly identical. |
